Case Study

Electronic Survey of West London Information Users

Clients

West London Alliance & West London Partnership

Background

To help us explore the business case for a West London Information System, we conducted an electronic survey targeted at West London information users in public sector, voluntary and community sector and business sector organisations, as well as local residents.

The principal objectives of the survey were:

- To understand people's current experiences of collecting or using local area statistics;

- To identify levels of support for the development of a West London LIS; and

- To identify the types of information that people would like to access from a LIS.

Outcomes

The results of this survey provided a wealth of valuable information that supported the development of a business case for a West London Intelligence System. The evidence we collected on the information needs of West London information users also guided the development of the specification for a West London LIS.
