Dr Sharon Collins, Director
Sharon has over 10 years' experience in public sector research. In 1999, she joined Wiltshire County Council (WCC) and was responsible for creating the Council's Corporate Research Centre. In 2005, Sharon left WCC in order to set up Evidence Base. Over the past decade, Sharon has developed expertise in a range of areas including quantitative and qualitative research, area profiling, social inclusion work, and information and knowledge management. In response to the growing demand for improved access to local information, in 2001, she developed the first-ever local intelligence system, the 'Wiltshire and Swindon Intelligence Network' which was recognised by the ODPM as an example of good practice. More recently, she has been involved in the development of a number of innovative, young people participation and consultation projects.

Helen Begum, Associate
Helen has 10 years' experience in public sector research. From 2000-2005 she worked as a corporate research consultant at Wiltshire County Council. As well as conducting quantitative and qualitative research in a range of service areas, she has been involved in area profiling and social inclusion projects. She has also worked on information and knowledge management projects, including the ODPM's Knowledge Management National Project. One specific area of expertise is qualitative research for social inclusion. She has conducted a number of ethnic minority studies, including 'Hidden Voices' where she interviewed over 60 Wiltshire residents, aged 8 to 80.

Naomi Grady, Associate
Naomi has 10 years' experience in public sector research. From 2000-2003 she was employed by Wiltshire County Council as a Research Consultant. In 2004 she moved to London to work for Ealing Council, where she quickly progressed from Research Manager to Head of Research and Consultation. From 2006-2009 she led a well respected, high quality service, supported by a team of seven staff. Naomi is an expert in project management and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. At Ealing, Naomi led large-scale consultation and engagement projects with residents, and developed the borough's consultation and engagement policies. Having a ‘constant ear to public concerns’ was cited as one of the reasons why Ealing won the UK’s Best Achieving Council award in 2009.
